L.O.V.E

These big up side down L.O.V.E letters are standing on the edge of the sea. When the sun is shining, the letters reflect on the water and you can read LOVE in the sea. So cute! Love at first sight!!

Another way of looking

Today there was a new open window. I met so many people in here. And each single person has his own story. It’s so nice to speak with people from other countries. For example I met a boy from Austria, he is 24 and he have a child from 3 years old. There are twinkles in his eyes when he talks about her. I can't imagine a life like that. But it is so beautiful to hear about it. And there are so many other stories.

Saturday we went with Lisa’s teacher to a quiet beach next to Golden Bay. She is really funny because of her hair. It’s like an Afro man in a beautiful way. The curls are so cool! It was nice just to have a relaxing day. In the evening we met Julienne (a woman form EF) at the bus stop and she decided to go for dinner with us. She is so friendly. In the first week she helps Lisa and me with a new room. That night we ate for the first time Maltese food. Delicious!!

Sunday Lisa, Frederique, Mike and I went to Gozo. Gozo is a really small island next to Malta. First we drive by bus to Slima and over there we changed to boat. In our way we saw the Blue Lagoon. All the guides say that you must see it because of the clear blue water. Ok, it was nice, but not the best I ever saw. From the Blue Lagoon (the Blue Lagoon is on the island Comino next to Gozo) we change the tourist boat for a big speedboat. Within 10 minutes we could put our feet’s on the stones of Gozo. When we get our first impression of the island, with his nice harbor full of colored boats and a big church on the top of a rock, there was a taxi driver screaming to us. "Guys I will show you the hole Island in my taxi instead of the touring car" After a little discussion we decided to go with our privet touring car. We ride around the island with Johnny Cash on the background. We get out of the car in front of a big castle; with his own beauty and we went us in the history of Gozo. On the top of the castle we had a really nice view over the island. There was also a museum and the artist of really nice paintings showed us his work. It gives us al a good feeling to drove and sang, with a really crazy taxi driver, trough the small cute streets of Gozo. That was so much fun! And really exciting! At that time I was thinking about my daddy. He always says, don’t plan anything but let thing happen and go on adventures, discover! And yes we did!

In the evening, we were back at our place. The city was crazy about red/yellow and orange. During the match, the Spanish fans were at one side and the Holland fans were on the other side of the bar street. It was so crazy to see the match with the fans from other side! And after Holland lost the game we decided to go partying with the Spanish people.. Ok forgive me!

There is here a big up side down L.O.V.E but I tell you later about that!

Hai from Malta

I'm sitting on my new balcony. Yes me and Lisa got a new room yesterday, and its a really nice one. We have a balcony!!!!!!! And its a room for 2, thats so much better than 4.

I have a great time, but it is hard, sometimes i have school from 8 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon. In the classrooms its freezing because of the airco. We cant handle it because its centralizationed. So you have to take a jersey with you everyday. The teacher is really nice but something a little bit crazy. The hole day she wants to know everything about me. Yes its actually drives me crazy. But i learn a lot of her, she is a good teacher. she is very interested in politics, the differents of countries, royal families ect. So its good for my social orientation.

Yesterday Lisa, Andrea (a really nice girl from Amsterdam) and I went to a beautiful beach, called Golden Bay. That was so good! Tonight we go to Valetta with 2 other people. One guy also from Holland and one girl from Belgium.

Im looking forward to sunday because of the footbal match. There are a lot of Spanish people in here, so that is gonna be a big fight. I think 40% is Spanish. and 10% Holland people. Haha!! And yes I have Spanish friends in here, thats so crazy but really nice.

Tonight i had my first dream in English. That was so weird! And i dont tell you what i was dreaming;) Haha!

So i have to go to school now. I get a new timetable for next week. I hope its te same like Lisa again.

A Mona Lisa Smile...

5 July 10

23.45 h and I arrived at Malta airport. It's always an exiting moment when I'm waiting for my luggage. (Yes, they forgot my luggage for 3 terrible times) But now its a very special exiting evening because I am by my self and I don’t know were I go to, and… about 15 minutes its my 21 birthday. So, I am grown up to a real woman. (actually, I hope so) But at this time i’m still waiting for that 23 pounds big red thing on 4 wheels. And there it is, rolling over the luggage band, next to another blue one. I was really happy and at that moment. And yes, the clock show me that I'm start with a new part of life.

A crazy Malties men (I’d like to say Maltesers) drives me and some other guys to the residence. I’m glad he is a good driver because they drive at the other side of the road, like England. We arrived at St. Julians and stopped in the middle of a bar street, in front of a very big shopping mal. Yes, a really big one!! The driver told me that I have to walk inside the shopping mal and find there my residence. (??) You actually have to see my eyes, at that moment they were bigger that Bambi’s. Big names of shops staring at me, maybe they want to say hello or something but I was thinking what’s happens next. In the middle of al the big shops there is my residence. I check in and on that paper where I have to put my name on, there standing 3 other names. Are they on my room?? With a strange feeling I went upstairs by lift. My hard pumping faster and faster, and there it is, room 630. I open the door. (you have to know that’s now 1 o clock in the night) I saw 4 beds, and in 1 bed there is a girl. She waked up of my entrĂ©e sound. She is a little bit sleepy and I am a little bit over exiting when we introduced each other. She is form Austria and here name I forgot at that moment. (like I always do) I opened my suitcase and there, between a lot of clothes laying a birthday gift from my parents. It was a really cute box and when I’m opened it… there was someone in it to sing for my!! The sleepy girl waked up with a smile on her face, a special smile, a Mona Lisa smile from Austria (yes I remember, that was her name, I am for shore its not a joke) and at that crazy time in the middel of the night the ice was broken…
